Once your application is complete, we will contact you via Thalamus if we wish to invite you for an interview. Our interview season will run from October through February. All interviews for the 2023-2024 season will be conducted virtually, and applicants will have an option to tour our facility in person and meet faculty in a non-evaluated setting.
Eligibility Requirements
The Texas Rehabilitation Hospital of Fort Worth Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency Program is committed to achieving diversity in trainee recruitment, selection, and retention. Minimum Requirements
Applicants with one of the following qualifications are eligible for appointment to the program:
- Graduates of medical schools in the United States and Canada accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME).
- Graduates of colleges of osteopathic medicine in the United States accredited by the American Osteopathic Association on Osteopathic College Accreditation (AOACOCA).
- Graduates of medical schools outside the United States and Canada who meet one of the following qualifications:
- Have a currently valid certificate from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) or
- Have a full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States licensing jurisdiction in which the program is located.
Appointment requirements after matching, applicants must:
- Submit ACLS and BLS Certification (must be American Heart Association certified)
- Copy of ECFMG Certificate - REQUIRED for foreign graduates (international medical graduates only)
- Copy of NPI
- Curriculum Vitae – must be current
- Submit Final Medical School Transcript
- Submit proof of Medical School Diploma (Dean's Verification of Pending Graduation acceptable only for those anticipating graduation)
- One notarized copy of prior Intern/Residency/Fellowship Training Certificate (if applicable)
- Undergo a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening
- Submit to a health screening and provide necessary immunization documentation
- Meet eligibility requirements to obtain a State of Texas training license
- Supply proof of ECFMG certification (international medical graduates only)
- Sign the Graduate Medical Education Training Agreement
- Attend orientation
