Benefits
Insurance
Health, dental and life insurance for the resident and their family are provided. Medical malpractice insurance also is provided.
As Lifepoint Health employees, residents have the option to purchase vision insurance and long- and short-term disability insurance.
Fee Coverage
License, certification, exam and membership fees are covered. This includes:
- Resident Training License DEA In-Training Exam
- Memberships to the AAPMR, American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association and Tarrant County Medical Association
- Trainings/Certifications (ACLS, BLS)
Paid Time Off
Residents are allotted up to 20 business days (Monday-Friday) of holiday, vacation, professional, sick, or other leave is provided as paid time off (PTO).
Food Allowance
Residents will be provided free meals from the hospital cafeteria.
Subscriptions and Textbooks
Subscriptions are provided for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Board Review by Sara Cuccurullo. UpToDate is available from any computer on campus, through our UNTHSC library affiliation.
Board Review Course
In preparation for the medicine board certifying examination, the program will provide graduating residents the opportunity to attend a PMR board review course.
Professional Meetings
Residents are encouraged to attend professional meetings. Allowances are available at the discretion of the program director. Financial support is available to residents presenting a lecture, abstract or poster at a regional or national meeting. At the discretion of the program director, residents may be provided with time away as professional development to present at a regional or national meeting.
Coats
Two monogrammed white coats are provided to residents at the initial orientation and one additional monogrammed white coat will be provided for each subsequent training year to follow.
Parking
Parking is readily available at no fee on site.
Employee Discounts
Residents receive discounts for shopping, travel and more through the Lifepoint Health Employee Discount Program.
Taxi Service
Taxi or ride-share services are offered to residents who feel they are too fatigued to drive themselves home after a shift. Vouchers for transportation may be requested through New Innovations or by contacting the program coordinator. Transportation is a 24/7 service paid for by the GME office.
Employee Assistance Program
Lifepoint Health provides a confidential Employee Assistance Program that offers assessment, short-term counseling and referral services, crisis response, assistance with locating available childcare, health and wellness incentives, financial services and legal assistance.
Retirement Plan
Residents have the option to participate in the employer-sponsored 401(k) retirement plan.
